Who is this course for?
This course is for Explorer Scouts who wish to complete their Young Leader training in preperation for completing their missions and belt buckle. This weekend will include module B to K - ideally participants will have completed module A prior to attendance. If you have not completed this, it is possible to complete a workbook followed by a session on Saturday evening.

Location
St John Ambulance HQ, Hawley Lane Activity Centre, 99 Hawley Lane, Farnborough, GU14 8JG. Be careful the postcode can tell you your destination is on the M3 on some Sat Navs - it is best to type in the road name.
The centre has toilets, showers, kitchen facilities, first aid room and main hall.
Accommodation will be on the floor - bring your own mat/sleeping stuff.
Programme
We will be completing all of the training modules in the Young Leaders’ training scheme apart from module A. On Sunday we will be doing Module K - First Response - the equivalent of Emergency Aid Stage 4. There will be an online module to complete before attending.
First Aid e-learning
Before attending the course, you will need to complete the following e-learning module: http://hampshire-scouts.thinkific.com/courses/ylmodknov18. This will take around 2 hours - you can start & stop as required.
Cost
£15.00 all weekend (including campsite fees, activities & food – this has been subsidised by the County) or £5 for module K only. Please send your cheque or a group cheque for payable to HCSC to Mike Baxter, 5 Farnborough Street, Farnborough, GU14 8AG.

What to bring
Rucksack or holdall, sleeping bag/mat/pillow, wash kit, towel, tea towel, torch & clothing to include Scout uniform, outdoor / indoor shoes, waterproof & 2 changes of clothing.
